I started Cavenaugh Media when I was a junior at Baylor University, though it didn't start as a marketing agency. I was running a landscaping business in Waco and needed a website built for it. When I sat down to figure that out, I realized two things fast: I was good at it, and I could make a lot more money building websites than I could cutting grass as a college student. So I started offering web design to local businesses around Waco, mostly landscapers and other home service companies like the one I'd been running myself.

At first we were just building websites. But those clients kept coming back with a different problem: they didn't need another website, they needed customers. That pushed me to learn the things that actually drive growth for home service businesses, Facebook ads, Google ads, SEO, and social media. Over time, Cavenaugh Media evolved from a web design business into a marketing agency built specifically for home service companies.

In June of 2023 I attended GoHighLevel's SaaSpreneur event, and that's when everything really started to click. It gave me the framework, the tools, and the community to take what I was already doing and turn it into a real business. I graduated from Baylor in 2024 and have been running Cavenaugh Media full time ever since.

A few years in, the bet has paid off. In September of 2025 our agency was recognized at GoHighLevel's Level Up Awards, where we took home the Gold SaaSpreneur Award and the Bronze Affiliate Award. In May of 2026 I went back to speak to HighLevel's intern class. We've grown almost entirely through referrals, we now serve home service businesses across the country, and we've built a team that handles everything online: PPC, Facebook ads, SEO, custom software, and full CRM systems built on GoHighLevel.

Here's what I'm most focused on today: AI. I believe the agencies that win over the next decade are the ones who actually understand this technology, not just talk about it. That means AI search, AI agents working inside the business, and building our own software by coding with AI. I'm genuinely passionate about it, and I think that's exactly what a home service owner should want from the person running their marketing: someone younger, tech-savvy, and living on the front edge of where all of this is headed.
